Privacy
South Beach Max is a small comic-strip site run by one human. Here's exactly what we collect, why, and how to make it stop.
Visits
We log every page view to count traffic. Each entry includes: the URL, the time, your browser's User-Agent, the page that referred you, and a daily-rotating hash derived from your IP address — never the IP itself. The hash rotates every day at midnight UTC, which means we can count "unique visitors today" but can't recognize you across days. Visit logs stay in our local SQLite database and are not shared.
Email subscribers
If you sign up for new-strip notifications, we store: your email address, your chosen language, the date you signed up, and a daily-rotating IP hash (used only for rate-limiting signup attempts). We use SendGrid, a US-based email-delivery service, to send verification, welcome, and broadcast emails — your email address transits their systems while we're sending you mail.
To stop the emails, click "Unsubscribe" in any email from us, or visit the unsubscribe link directly. To have your row deleted entirely, email [email protected].
Cookies
We don't use cookies for tracking. The site uses one piece of localStorage to remember that you've dismissed the cookie banner. That's it.
Third parties
- Cloudflare sits in front of the site as a CDN/proxy. They see your IP and may log it according to their policy.
- SendGrid handles email delivery, as described above.
Hosting and contact
